What is dog grooming?
Whether you love to know your dog is clean or you’re gearing up for family photos with him or her, a dog grooming salon can take care of everything. From baths to brushing, to even painting your dog’s nails, you can expect to pay a starting price of about $40 for a full grooming service (for a small dog). Grooming salons will mostly offer a basic package deal which can include a bath, trimmed nails, and cleaned ears. Dog grooming salons give special care to elderly dogs who might need to take frequent potty breaks or rests between services.

How much do you tip the dog groomer?
Typically, you should tip your dog groomer 15 to 20 percent of the service total to show your appreciation for a good job. Tips should be whatever you can afford and are a token of you gratefulness. It's quite common for your groomer to give you extra services at no charge, such as teeth brushing or nail trimming. Keep all this in mind when considering how much to tip. Additionally, there are certain circumstances when you should the tip the groomer a bit more.
Here's a few examples of when you should tip the groomer extra:
If your dog bites or scratches the groomer. Tipping big will help here.
If your dog was extremely dirty and gross—especially with dog poo or mud matted to their hinds.
If your dog had extreme matting or shedding—this creates extra work for your groomer.
If your elderly dog is disabled and can't stand for grooming and needs extra support.

Wanda is simply the best groomer in the Palm Beach County area. She has a warm and kind energy, and her passion for grooming shines through in every visit. My goldendoodle Abby is a very sensitive, emotional animal and she always walks up to Wanda with a spring in her step, and leaves very happy and relaxed. Wanda is very skilled, and Abby always has the most beautiful cut after every visit.

I have nothing but good things to say about Larry and Lisa and recommend them to everyone I meet with a dog. At a year old, my Australian Shepherd puppy was still pulling on the leash, would return half the time when called, and would not drop anything from his mouth on command. I was at my wits end trying to figure it all out by myself, and after doing extensive research, decided to start training with Larry.
Before any training or payment took place, Larry and I had an hour long consultation, discussing what type of relationship and training I wanted with Rocket, what was expected of me, and how lessons will go. Our first training session was private with just my mom, dad (they were encouraged to join in training), Larry, and I working with Rocket teaching him how to heel and sit right by our sides when walking. You could immediately see the difference in Rocket's response; he now had a clear handful of leaders to follow (he literally had a pep in his step). The second session was a group class in a public area, teaching us how to work with our dogs and handle them in a high-stress situation.
It's been 4 months since we started our training and there is such a difference in my dog. Although he likes praise, Rocket isn't the type of dog who will listen just to please you. You can tell he listens now because he knows he's part of a team and he knows where he stands. Larry says he's a dog trainer, but he's not. He's a people trainer, teaching you how to effectively train your dog. You learn how a dog's mentality works and what techniques to use in order to communicate what you're looking for. There's no sugar coating, lots of love, and commitment through the whole process gives you and your dog an amazing lifetime together.
