Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When meeting a client I like to discuss the project, ask some questions to get a feel for the project and what the client wants to accomplish. Set a budget and see if our working styles will be a good match. Then we would set a scope of the work, discuss rate and pay and set up a time that works to start project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have mostly hands on experience been in the home building industry and design for years. Most of my experience is new home construction for large homes. After being in the home industry watching and working with builders, lot planning and space planning and helping clients envision the home of the their dreams it came naturally to me. I also have my staging certificate and interior design coursework. I stay on update to date trends and keep an eye out for new courses to stay current and fresh.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The boutique's hourly rate is $80 and some services we may establish as a flat fee it really depends on project and scope of services. What might work for the client and what is also cost effective for the Studio. We try to work with the client and go above an beyond for our clients and be competitive.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been in the home industry for over two decades, I have always had an interest in design starting with a project as early as middle school. We had to make plans and I just went with it. I got into Property Management to see if I would enjoy Real Estate then I got my license and over time clients could not envision space looking at an empty house. I started showing clients a home's potential and asking what type of furniture we looking to accomodate. Then staging became popular for vacant homes so I got my designation and the studio started staging our listings. This grew to where when clients were purchasing new homes, clients started asking me to decorate their new homes. I was doing this so much that it became a part of the business for the studio.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with all types of customers from all stages in their life. Some are vacation homes, most are their primary residence's for families, some are relocations and need their home move in ready, investors staging or flipping homes. Some are vacant homes to show potential or space. Some are downtown trendy condos or coastal homes. Some customers are downsizing but want efficient design. Sometimes it is a kids room, a bathroom, kitchen, sometimes an entire home renovation. Our ideal customer is one where the loyalty and respect is mutual, we put so much into a design for are clients that the most enjoyable experience is one with mutual admiration. We understand we are entering someone's personal space so we are efficient and respectful we ask the same of our clients.
