What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk to the license qualifiers of the company you want to hire. Test their knowledge and character, usually this a good gauge on how the employees will be as well. Also it is a reflection on how the company is run. If you cannot talk to the guy on top than you are dealing with a company that only cares about its bottom line. You want a company that cares about his profession and his customers.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Just be open minded to the pro's experience. Don't get to set on one idea. There a 100's of ways to solve a project but there are also 100's of different prices to go with it. Also most Pro's know their local markets and what is needed for a safe installation. So ask any and all questions but listen to their advice.
