About
I take pride in making sure all animals are comfortable and as stress free as possible during the grooming process. I give the dog or cat breaks if they need it and only book one or two animals at a time in the shop so its more relaxing and quiet while the dog or cat is with me. I've been a groomer for 11 years and have worked with animals for 16 years, I have extended experience with dogs and cats who are shy, aggressive, skittish and nervous in new environments. I attend animal behavioral classes and grooming classes regularly to continue expanding my knowledge in order to provide the best possible service to every animal I work with.
I get to spend all day with amazing fur babies, which makes me love what I do,its impossible to have a stressful day when surrounded by dogs or cats. I love seeing a dog come in looking like a total mess then seeing the transformation by the time the groom is complete.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we first speak I will ask you about your pets temperament, even if your pet has bitten a groomer in past I will still groom your baby and welcome them into my shop I just need to know what I'm dealing with so please dont be afraid to be honest about any bite history.I will also speak with you about any health issues and the type of haircut your wanting. If your pet is a senior with typical senior health issues I will groom your pet for comfort over style meaning I will do the best I can to get your pet done in 90 minutes or less to avoid any additional stress from the grooming process that could elevate any current health issues. Your pet will still look adorable it just might not be a perfect breed standard style but they will be comfortable and clean and that's the most important thing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started working in the animal field 16 years ago as a vet assistant with an animal rescue and then going on to learn about animal behavior and did basic dog training at the rescue, eventually I went on to learn how to groom, since then I've became a certified cat and dog groomer, I was taught the trade of grooming hands on from a master certified groomer and attend grooming seminars multiple times a year to take classes to stay up to date with latest grooming trends. I take pride in my work and do all I can to ensure your pets visit to the groomers is as stress free and as enjoyable as possible.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My prices depend on size of animal and if the fur is matted or not. I do offer a multi pet discount as long as you bring them in on same day.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started working in rescue, after a few years I needed a break from that environment but still wanted to stay with animals which is why I started work in a groom shop as a bather and eventually learned how to groom hands on from my boss who is a certified master groomer
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds, I've worked with some of the sweetest fur babies ever all the way to some fur babies who tried to eat me and fur babies who needed some patience in order to learn to trust me, I've never turned away any animals over aggression and the ones I work with have stayed with me for years.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Having a client tell me they've tried a few different groomers before deciding on me,based on how I interacted with there fur babies, they previously had a bad experience at a different groom shop which resulted in 2 of the dogs being fear aggressive and were nervous about leaving there dogs alone but I allow owners to stay if they want to because I believe its very important for groomer's to be very transparent.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask many many many questions about everything you can think of, and dont ever be afraid to ask if you can sit inside the lobby while your pet is being groomed if you feel more comfortable that way. I always welcome owners to stay I just ask them not to speak to there dog during the grooming process as this can cause the dog to move around to much on the table making it difficult to safely groom them. Also show up early for pick up espically with a new groomer so you can see how the groomer interacts with your fur baby when your not there....get to know your groomer, this is the person your trusting your dog or cat with so its pretty important to build a relationship with them.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask about pricing, the type of products used and the years of experience the groomer has and ask how a groomer might handle a difficult or skittish/nervous dog.
