Love Fur Paws

About

At Love Fur Paws I take pride in making dogs feel comfortable and safe while making them look their best! I've been grooming for 3 years now and I love everything about it. I worked for a big box store during that time and didn't like the rushed/non-personal nature of a corporation. I now work out of my home in a kennel-free environment working on only one dog at a time so I'm able to give dogs the one-on-one attention and special treatment they deserve!

Frequently asked questions

With new customers, I explain the dynamics of my grooming business, how it's set up, etc. in order to make them feel comfortable with the process. Then I ask about their dog's name, age, breed, allergies, accommodations they may need in order to tailor the experience to their needs!

I have 3 years of grooming experience.

I price grooms according to breed of the dog.

I went to school and received my Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences but came to realize that my real passion was for animals so I got trained and fell in love with the profession!

I work with all customers with any types of needs/concerns regarding their pet.

Recently, I was informed that one of my client's dog was hit by a car and broke her hip and could barely walk. She was going in for surgery the next day and my client really needed her groomed as she was matted and wouldn't be able to be groomed for an additional 6 to 8 weeks following her surgery. So I packed up my things and went to her place where the pet would be most comfortable and proceeded to groom her, not very well due to her injuries, but just enough to make her cute and comfortable for surgery. It gave me the warmest fuzziest feelings to help a pet parent and a pet in need.

I would advise to ask as many questions as possible to guaruntee transparency during the whole transaction. I would also advise the customer to be open and honest about what their pet wants and needs!

They should think about what would make their pet most comfortable during the grooming process. For example are they afraid of water or the dryer? Do they like being brushed? Do they like their nails done? Do they have allergies? What makes them happy, snacks, belly rubs? So that the pros will know how to handle the customer's pet with care.
