Family Dog Training
About
If your dog has a behavior problem, you’ve come to the right place.
Whether you are wrangling a new puppy, unruly adolescent, or teaching an old dog new tricks, we can help you train your dog. We have a very high success rate in helping discerning Treasure Coast dog owners with problem behaviors such as not listening, unruly behavior, anxiety and aggression.
Fearful, aggressive dogs become more relaxed and pushy dogs learn that life is far more enjoyable when they cooperate with their owners. Clients that weren’t able to walk down the street without worrying what might happen if their dog met another dog or a child gain the confidence it takes to go for a simple walk.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most behavior problems begin in the home, and that's the best place to solve them.
The training takes place in your home, or a location of your choosing, such as the park or on walks around your neighborhood. Starting in a familiar, low-distraction environment makes it easier for you and your dog to acquire the skills in the beginning, and makes it easier to take it out "on the road" later on!
Every dog is different
We assess the cause of the problem and give you practical, clear-cut solutions which bring about positive change. There is no "one size fits all" in behavior modification and problem solving, so we work with each dog and owner individually and personalize a program to accomplish your goals, and we work with you every step of the way.
We'll talk with you about your schedule, you family composition, your goals and objectives, and then come up with a plan to meet your needs. Since we're working with you one on one, we work on the problems that matter most to you.
Truly flexible scheduling
We understand, life sometimes gets in the way of even our best intentions. Scheduling is truly flexible--we don't need to meet on the same day of the week or hour of the day each time. If you have vacation or business commitments, we can skip a week. Not feeling well? Call us and we'll reschedule!
100% instructor attention
Since you are the only student, you have our undivided attention, which means all class time is devoted to fine tuning your skills to ensure you get the best results.
You're getting a top-rated trainer - and the owner of the business
You’re not getting a trainee of a trainer or training program. Cathy Daugaard has been training and competing since 1989. She is certified through the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, a Doggone Safe Presenter, and AKC Canine Good Citizen and Puppy S.T.A.R. Evaluator. She has learned from some of the best trainers from America, Germany, and South Africa.
