About
I provide one on one attention for your pet. I groom one family at a time so I can concentrate on your pet without distractions. I have been grooming for 15 years, and have 5 years experience as a Vet Tech. My experience and medical knowledge allows me to provide extra special care to special needs pets. My goal is to provide the best care in the most comfortable way for you and your pet's peace of mind.
Grooming is my passion. I enjoy being able to make my clients and their pets feel great and look great. I consider every pet that I groom a part of my family and truly care about their needs and well being.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend some time speaking with the pet parent and petting the pet so that we can all feel comfortable with each other and I can clearly understand the expectations and needs of the pet parent and pet. I discuss any health or behavioral issues so i am aware of any special needs the pet may have. I then groom the pet as close to the specifications I have discussed with the pet parent as possible. The pets do get a small break between each part of the grooming process and water is available, so they feel comfortable with me and dont feel overwhelmed. I like to call the Pet parent for pick up about 15 munutes before the pet is ready so they can go home soon as they are done. If they need more time than that for pick up or have errands to run, the pet is more than welcome to stay for day care.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i had on the job training at Petsmart in 2006 and have learned from every place I have worked and all walks of life since. I also have extensive medical knowledge and am in school currently to become a registered Vet Tech. This allows me to take care of pets with special needs or pets that may need to be given medications throughout their stay. I continue to learn and try to further my education and skills by participating in Continuing Education, attending webinars and seminars, and reaching out to more experienced groomers for advice or tips to make the grooming process as relaxing and safe for the pet as possible, while still achieving the results that are expected.

My prices vary depending on breed, weight, coat condition, haircut request and temperment. I also provide extra services and stand alone services.
How did you get started in this business?
I started bathing dogs while volunteering at the humane society when I was 14 years old and started grooming dogs in 2006 and cats in 2008.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all walks of life from puppies to very elderly dogs. I am able to take care of pets with a multitude of health or behavioral concerns and have skills to help fearful pets to get past hating being groomed. I also work on cats, and have done things like nail trims and small sanitary trimmings on pocket pets.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are clear with your instructions and expectations. Pictures are incredibly helpful as long as they are the same breed at your pet. Make sure you are upfront about any behavior issues, health issues, or the overall temperament of your pet and make sure the groomer is comfortable and confident they can properly care for your pet.

What does the process and price include? How long have you been grooming? What experience do you have grooming (your breed of dog)? Are you experienced with medical or behavior issues and are you able to handle such things?
