Total Dog Training

Today was our 4th or 5th session with Emmie, and it was our first public session. Today really showed me that this training is worth EVERY single penny. We have two German shepherds that aren’t really good with being around new people, or out in public. They would pull on the leash so much, that we dreaded taking them for walks. We had to quit taking them to Lowe’s because they would act out. Now they are both walking on leash perfectly, and today we were shown how to keep them calm and happy in public. We can’t wait for the next session.

I wish I could give Emi/Total Dog more than five stars. We signed up for the behavior modification package, and Xenas done a complete 180 in the short time weve been working with Emi. No more barking at strangers. No more barking in the car. No more charging the fence. I used to be wary of taking her to public places, but now we can go to Harborwalk, Destin Commons and other heavily trafficked areas, no problem. If your dog has behavioral issues, these are the people you need to sign up with.

Ryan has an incredible passion for dog training. His work ethic is impeccable and his standard of excellence is unmatched. There is no need to look elsewhere if a true professional that knows their trade is what you seek.

Ryan is gifted and truly passionate dog trainer. Ive used Ryan to discuss and give suggestions to correct behavioral issues in police service dogs. Hes always quick to respond and is very open minded. He also explains his training concepts so I can understand how the dog will learn. That in itself shows his intelligence on reading the dogs behavior , plus it teaches the handler/owner to do the same.

My first lesson last week made my mouth drop that my dog could do what they said within the first 20 min lesson, second lesson this week was nothing but amazing. Cant wait till next week . RYAN and APRIL are great worth every penny

In January of 2018 we enrolled our then 8 month old Dobie into a local dog training Distinctive and Intensive 7 Day In-House Program. Upon completion, we were eager to see and hear about the progress our Dobie had made, however at pickup, we did not get to meet with his trainer; as we did at the start of program. We were able to see our pup complete an obstacle course and attempts to help with crate training, but we left very disappointed. After more research on local trainers, we contacted Total Dog Training and within an hour my message was returned. We had discussions with Amber and Ryan about our Dobie, what our desires/goals were and we decided to move forward with Total Dog’s Training Program. We think it is fair to say that the amount of time in only 5 sessions (about 8 hours), compared to the 7 Day Intensive Program, our Dobie has progressed exponentially. We have concluded that one on one sessions customized for our dog (in home or in public), coupled with direct access to Ryan if a problem/questions arises during the week practices, and the true commitment displayed by the Total Dog Training Team, that the owners & dog success’s, in training, are paramount! Our Dobie is thriving under the philosophy and leadership of April and Ryan of Total Dog in situations we thought were unmanageable. Ryan and his team make training our Dobie “easy and fun”!
