We have owned and operated Lakeside Kennels since 1998. We have assisted many dogs and owners in boarding and training services, we pride ourselves on maintining the same client base who started with us 20 years ago. Our philosphy in boarding and grooming is that your fur babies are like ours and we treat them as part of our family.
For many of our clients we become the home away from home. We strive to make the pet feel confident and secure as well as the owners.
Our groomers are very talented, they book weeks in advance. We look at grooming as an opportunity for training, and long term. Our four legged friend's can't wait to get to the grooming area when they arrive for their appointments.
We have two trainers, George who has been training for 30 years and is in high demand for behavior modification. He earns the respect of the pet and they respond to his training.
Kayla has worked with George since she was 10 years old. She was educated at the renowned Tom Rose school and returned to Citrus county to offer her services.
Lakeside offers Basic Obedience, Private classes, Consultations and Agility. Please feel free to contact us for more information. We also offer Daycare, the dogs also receive training there as well.
We believe "It's all about trust" and we strive for that trust of the owners as well as the pets.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most of our clients are either referred by the local veterinarians or from other clients. We strive to get all information needed to assist in boarding, grooming or training. We listen to those needs and implement them in the care of the pets. We work with hard cases as well as medical concerns.
How did you get started in this business?
Started in this profession because we love and enjoy animals. The unconditional love, true best friends!
