About

Harmony and Love are What Drive Me

There are so many situations that we commonly come across where we hear complaints from people about their dogs that are destroying their furniture or their landscaping, annoying barking, dogs walking people, or aggressive behavior. We hear about people that are nervous or tense because they’re afraid that their dog might bite someone passing by! Very commonly we know about people that have to spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars just to replace damaged goods. All of this usually causes stress, anxiety, frustration, and misery in a home instead of harmony, joy, and happiness. And the potential outcomes as a result of these circumstances can be disastrous, sad, and sometimes tragic. The primary motivation for any animal behaviorist should be the drive to help people and their four legged companions.

In order to begin this journey toward a harmonious home, it’s important that the human members learn to understand their dog’s behavior and language. They must learn to communicate with him and transmit peace and security so that the dog can live in a pleasant and relaxed state of mind. Humans must also try to maintain a tranquil state of mind and body. Whatever we are feeling: anger, stress, sadness, joy, etc., the dog can sense it and will respond to that energy that we are transmitting. Basically, we are the main cause of our dog’s behavioral issues. It’s our fault and our responsibility of how and why they behave the way they do, whether it be good or bad. So if we don’t like the way our dog behaves, we should start by analyzing ourselves first.

It’s very easy to sense this type of imbalance when I come across it, and I can’t help thinking about the frequently common possibilities of an unfortunate outcome that this may lead to. To witness first hand animals in a shelter o watch the news reports and documentaries about animal abuse, especially the ASPCA commercials asking for donations...just leaves a knot in my throat. I have always been an animal lover just the same as my parents, but I also have a passionate love for people and the desire to help them. Whether it be volunteer work with the poor or ill, or just somebody that needs help with a simple task, I am there. And with animals...I don’t even think twice! This is my primary motivation that drives me to become a professional animal behaviorist...help people and animals! To be that guide that so many families need, and to help them find that balance of harmony in their personal relationships, human and interspecies. To exercise my “POWER OF ONE” and be a part of a significant change in our society and give true meaning to the human part of “humane”. As an animal behaviorist graduated from ABC ANIMAL BEHAVIOR COLLEGE and recipient of a scholarship, I can teach humans to understand their companions better and close the communication gap that can cause those tragic decisions and unfortunate consequences; starting with a preventive approach with people that buy or adopt puppies so that they can make correct decisions during the sensitive developmental stages leading up to good behavioral health. I want to evolve my option of life toward helping in the pet adoption process by guiding people and training their new family members. Eventually the goal to train therapeutic canines that assist people with their special needs, primarily that of loyal and loving companionship. To sum it all up, I want to help people and their animals to coexist in a harmonious balance of life, just as we were created to be.

    Frequently asked questions

Because of the nature of my work with clients and dogs, my phone is usually on silent 90% of the work day to avoid distraction noises that can affect the training process, as well as the interuptions during a training session with a client. Another hurdle that many of us are facing lately is the overwhelming amount of SPAM calls I'm recieving DAILY. That being said, I have found that the following steps (typically) have proven to be very beneficial for clients and for me:

    1. Initial contact via text messages to coordinate a phone conversation/interview.

    2. Phone interview and set up a meet & greet.

    3. Meet and greet; and sometimes will be the first session of the training process.
