What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

For new clients we reach out to them to see what their needs are. Do they prefer to meet in person or do a phone consult? We are happy to do video chats with clients that aren't local as well. 


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are constantly looking to stay in touch with what is new as to technology that helps us and our clients. As an office we meet different times during the month to train and how we can improve our services. Keeping up with any changes to the financing industry or real estate laws is vital to our success!


How did you get started in this business?

I worked for Publix for 11 years, starting when I was 16. I loved working there and what Publix stands for. At the heart of Publix you will find the customer is the focus. When I decided I wanted to do something different I found may way to becoming a real estate agent in 2001. Within 3 years I started my own business. I love working in real estate and sharing the home selling/buying experience. My clients are more like family and I am blessed to share this time with them. 


What types of customers have you worked with?

Over the years I have been on the listing side the most, working more with sellers than buyers. Some of my sellers become my buyers! And they refer friend and family which is a blessing! I have worked with investors as well. I have also worked with landloards for their property management needs. 


Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Working with The Mission of Winter Haven. At Christmas we put together gift bags for the homeless men and women to provide them with a new sleeping bag and other essentials to give them a gift of needed items for Christmas. 


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Do your research. Ask questions. Communication is key. Find an agent you relate you and provide the marketing and service you want. How many homes have you sold in the last year? How many homes do you have listed? Are your photos taken by a professional you hire? What type of sign do you use? When will the sign be put up? What is your marketing plan? What do you offer that other agents may not offer? What is your communication strategy? 


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Knowing if you are ready to move or buy! For a buyer, it is vital to get pre-approved and have your funds for the down payment and closing costs ready before looking at homes. And know the resources/options for down payment and closing costs assistant. Your agent can help with a referral to a lender/bank, but be prepared this should be done upfront. Have good credit! You should have credit! Too often buyers aren't aware you have to make payments to show you have credit. NO LATE PAYMENTS! 

For sellers, what is your next move? Where are you moving to? Is your home ready to go on the market? Do you need to declutter, do home maintenance items? Any updates that may bring you a higher value in the sale of your home. Your agent can help with this, but be prepared to discuss these details.
