Jon Saul is a Florida State-Certified residential real estate appraiser (RD 6711) and owner of Affordable Appraisals with over 13 years experience as well as having been a Florida licensed real estate practitioner since the mid 1970's. Jon is also owner/broker/Realtor of Residential Realty and understands, through experience, the many phases of the local real estate business.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initally evaluate needs and desires to best results. For appraisals detirmine the purpose of the appraisal & detirmine first if you need one.
For real estate evaluate your wants, desires, expectations and discuss how we can accomplish these goals. The first step to purchase is to help you shop and prequalify for a loan if needed. Then set up an auto search of MLS properties that meet with the desired or wanted criterion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
42 years as a licensed Flordia real estate agent. 14 years as a Florida state certified real estate appraiser. BS degree for Indiana University, Real Estate, Marketing. Member of good standing NAR, FAR, NEFAR & local MLS.

All kinds! First time home buyers, often clients that dis not understand the process and even never thought they could have their own home! Seniors.

Most recently helped a first time home buyer family move into a home they never imagined would be in their life!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Shop and Compare. Meet. Not all appraisers or real estate "professionals" are alike. Choose someone you can bond with....have confidence in.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Discuss your wants & desires. Discuss where you would like to live. Be open minded to suggestions. The final decision is yours.
