About

I've been an all breed dog and cat pet groomer for over 15 years. I also groom show dogs (some breeds) and actively continue my education by attending seminars. I am master groomer certified in canine dermatology and in sporting breeds. I am cage free and fear free. I only accept one family of pets at a time so your pet gets all of my attention. I groom from my home in Arlington, Jacksonville, FL out of my converted grooming trailer with climate control. I can handle pets of all sizes and temperaments.

    Frequently asked questions

I have all of my customers fill out a grooming questionaire prior to booking an appointment, this helps me better understand (and prepare for) you and your pet's needs. I will give you a price estimate based on the information you provide.

On the day of your appointment, I will take time to assess your pet and their condition and discuss any concerns you may have. We'll go over the exact services you expect to be performed and I'll recommend any additional. I will give you an updated estimate and have you sign a waiver prior to taking in your pet.

I have been a groomer for 15+ years. I have both ran my own business and managed businesses for other groomers. I have a background in canine theory, so I understand canine body language and communication. I can handle dogs with aggression and anxiety. I am master groomer certified in Dermatology and for Sporting Breed grooming. I also am certified fear free & have taken numerous canine nutrition courses. I also show & breed dogs.

My prices vary on each individual pet based on their behavior, coat condition and services performed. There is a "starting at" price list on my website to give you a ballpark idea.

I learned how to groom from showing dogs, but I made friends with pet groomers during showing dogs and they took me under their wings. They taught me all the ins and outs of the grooming world. I try to learn from every groomer I meet and I think I have accomplished that quite well.

I've worked with top show dogs and the most loved pet dogs alike. I've worked with the tiniest Chihuahua to a giant great dane and everything in between. Besides dogs I have also groomed cats, rabbits, guiena pigs, sheep & horses. I have groomed dogs other groomers couldn't groom due to their behavior (and some of those pets became my favorite clients). I've groomed in a vet clinic and have done animals under sedation, general anestesia and with a multitude of health issues including paralysis.

Taking my special dog, Ember, to the beach. She's 9 and we're new to Jacksonville and seeing the joy she had running around the beach like she was a puppy again really made me happy.

Ask lots of questions. Ask to see examples of their work. Trust your gut and if something doesn't seem right, ask. If the groomer isn't willing to explain everything so you understand, find one who will.

Is your pet matted? Is the haircut you want doable without much pain to your dog from dematting? Is your dog's comfort more important than a perfect haircut? How much time are you willing to spend brushing your dog inbetween grooming appointments? How is your dog's behavior? Has your pet ever bitten someone before? Please don't be afraid to be honest. Honesty keeps both the groomer and your pet safe. If the groomer doesn't feel comfortable doing a pet who may have a history of issues with grooming, don't trick them into it. You will find a groomer you can be honest with and you will build a relationship with them which will allow them to build one with your pet.
