About
I left the corporate world as a Business analyst because I found myself traveling all the time and being away from the fur family that I loved. I started this business on the premise of giving people peace of mind when it comes to their furry family members. I know how hard it is to find someone you can trust and rely on to take care of your pets when you have a last-minute emergency, busy work life or just that well-deserved vacation Well I'm your girl!
It really is a childhood dream for me to surround myself with the animal kingdom I love and caring for the wild and the wonderful! I am well-versed in special needs, behavior training, safety and animal CPR. I offer dog walking, sitting in your home or mine as well as medication camouflage and the art of pill to treat ratios for those who are a little sneaky! It would be my pleasure and honor to care for your family member when you can't be there. Put your trust in me! I'm Jazz and I'm Pawesome!!
Quite honestly, the fact that I'm working with animals as they are much more enjoyable than the human race these days (I'm sure animal lovers will understand that).
On a serious note, I just feel at home with animals. Like people, each animal is different. They have their own little personalities and I enjoy getting to know them at their pace. Always at their pace. Some like us are extroverts and want to be in your face and there are others who are either just naturally shy or have had a rough past so they take a little longer to warm up and that's okay. I have clients (one in particular) who came from a very bad place until she was rescued and she would not come to me initially. She would cry and scream if I walked within a few feet of her. By the end of that weekend, she allowed me to put her harness on her and after 3 weekend visits in a 6 month period, Stella now greets me at the door with her tail wagging and puts her face in mine when we are sitting on her futon. That transformation I get to witness is amazing to watch and it just reminds me why animals are such amazing creatures.
I help modifiy behavioral issues in dogs that tend to show aggressive behavior as well and it's the same process. I patiently shape and allow them to re-shape their behavior. The fact that I can help their parents understand why they are different from other animals and to help guide them as to how to work with them and how to be patient, it makes my heart smile knowing the two begin to have a better understanding of one another and they will forever have a true bond the rest of their lives.
As for dog walking, drop in visits, pet sitting, etc - I get satsifaction out of knowing that the pet parent can relax and let go of the anxiety we feel when we know our babies havent been able to potty or you just aren't sure what's going on because the person you've asked to look after them isn't too communicative. I have a hard time trusting people with my babies and because I understand that feeling, it's common sense for me to check in every few hours, send pics, ensure the babies get to eat on time (or within a reasonable time) and ensuring they don't have to wait HOURS to use the restroom. I'm in and out all day, no matter what my schedule is like to ensure the babies are looked after just as I look after my own.
I would want someone to do the same for mine.
