Originally from Venezuela, I am a trained civil engineer. I own the boutique consulting firm YL CONSULTING, Inc., based in Miami, Florida. We have focused on business development and project management solutions since 2013.
My professional experience as an interior decorator began in Venezuela. I had the opportunity to coordinate and develop projects for three commercial offices and seven residential units, each with different decorative styles: modern, tropical, contemporary, vintage, and classic.
In 2010, I moved to the United States, earned a Diploma as an Interior Decorator from The Interior Design Institute in San Francisco, California.
I have worked internationally for the last twenty years in Venezuela, Spain, the United States, and the Caribbean Islands. In Miami, I managed three residential projects; in Madrid, two residential units, and a hotel on Aruba Island.

Yarmeli Lares, the owner of YL CONSULTING Inc., is a Civil Engineer from the Rafael Urdaneta University in Venezuela, with an MBA - Project Management Concentration DeVry University - Keller Graduate School of Management and Certificate as Professional Interior Design in The Interior Design Institute in the USA.

How did you get started in this business?
I love decorating the spaces in my home, my office and when I moved to the USA I decided to take a certification. As Civil Engineer I learned read architectural and structural draws, also I am creative to play with the furniture, colors, and textures.
