Hi! My name is Kelly and I am new to homeguide.
Ever since I was a kid I have had a strong love for animals of all kinds! I have a strong passion for wolves, love horses and wild cats! I grew up with two golden retrievers, two cats and acouple birds.
Currently I have a 2 1/2 month old son, a 2 year old German Shepherd Lab mix named Charlie and two cats, Keila and Bella.
I have been training dogs basically my whole life, and decided that animals and training was my passion. I worked at many doggy daycare facilities and boarding facilities in Colorado and was a wrangler for a horse ranch giving tourists horse back rides through Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Colorado.
I graduated from the Animal Behavior College in 2011 with a dog training degree. In early 2014 my (now) husband and I moved to South Florida from Colorado. In 2014-2015 I was the head dog trainer at the lake worth petco and a mentor (training other employees how to become a dog trainer) and was ranked the best dog trainer in our stores district which consisted of 25 stores. Also in 2014, I decided to open my own dog training company and have trained over 700 dogs since 2014.
The thing I love about dog training is watching your puppy/dog grow and succeed.
Love On A Leash is Private 1 on 1 dog training that is held in your home. I teach obedience with positive reinforcement and visual and verbal commands. I have many different types if training courses ranging from puppy basic's to fear/aggression problems. I also will hold group sessions at a set location for puppy socialization.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I reach out to a customer or they reach out to me, we schedule a date and time to start training. My packages are either 3 or 5 sessions. On the first session, I will tell the owner a little about myself and get to know your puppy/dog. Each session/week I will give you 2 commands and a problematic behavior to work on as home work as well as a review session and answer any questions.
