What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Over twenty years experince in high end Hospitalty and Residential Properties.

How did you get started in this business?

In November of 1998, I began my career in the creative field, working as an Assistant and a Buyer for Designer Barbara Hulanicki, OBE of Biba London fame. At the time, Hulanicki was the Lead Designer exclusively for Chris Blackwell's Island Outpost Hotels. She was a critical creative, designing his boutique hotel properties throughout Miami, Jamaica, and The Bahamas, Island Life offices in New York City at Colombus Circle, and private residences in London and Miami Beach. Barbara also contributed to the branding and style of Chris Blackwell's evolving portfolio across management, music, and retail.

Under the Lead Designer's direction, my work duties expanded to include Interior Design, Project Management and Purchasing for twenty plus Hospitality properties and working on hotels such as GoldenEye in Jamaica, once Ian Fleming's turned a luxe resort destination Pink Sands Hotel on Harbor Island.

Budgets spanned from twenty-five thousand dollars to two million dollars. Projects included sourcing and procuring FF&E for Hotel renovations and refurbishments and purchasing inventory for IslandLife Hotel Gift Shops, Island Outpost's Flagship Retail shop. Additionally, design and space planning for special events such as Midem Music Festival, Art Exhibitions, and DIFFA Charities.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with an incredible array of clientele, from Music Moguls such as Chris Blackwell of Island Records fame to Gloria and Emilio Estefan. I have also worked for boutique hotels in South Florida, The Caribbean, and The Florida Keys. I have vast experience working with developers creating sample rooms for Condominiums and spec houses.
