Frequently asked questions

saying hello. what kind of dog do you have ? Just listening to what they want make the appointment and do the best job i can for them.

veterinary tech degree , also went to pets playground grooming school and was hired to manage and be and instructor at pets playground 2.  I have worked for many high end salons and had my own Salon in Stuart fla Happy paws !!

I only do small dogs now and there a standard 50 and that includes nails clipped and dremmeled ears plucked and cleaned massage bath shampoo and conditioner, blowout, breed specific haircut or whatever you choose, anal glands upon request {free} includes bows or bandana.

I loved animals since i was a baby i got my first dog when i was four he was a german shepard puppy i absolutely loved this dog he was for sure my best friend his name was Duke!!

I was 17 years old and wanted to get a job and my mom found this add in the paper for Animal caretakers in cocoa Florida at the florida wildlife nature study center I went out and spoke to Carlton Teate head man at the center and he hired me i loved loved loved that job i remember i couldnt wait to go to work the next day and i stayed there for three more years .   After that i went to school at Northwest shcool of animal sciences for Vet Tech and then i went to work at north shore animal league years later i decided i wanted to be a groomer and i did alot of hard work first i learned from a groomer named vicki , then i worked for another lady who would teach me more stuff well i still lacked confidence so i went to school at pets playground and the owner had me teaching some classes to boost my confidence and it worked and going to school and getting the diploma and liscense for grooming was very satisfying to me,, Plus she hired me on graduation day to manage her new shop and be a teacher there so everything worked out ok!!

all fantastic customers !!!!

havent had any events since covid but i am fond of the national foundation for adoption and foster parendting of neglected or abused dogs and cats anything that has to do with animals and there well being has my attention and heart.

be careful pay close attention to the signs your dog gives you not everyone who is a groomer loves animals lord knows why there in this field of work i will never know but i have seen cruelty i have seen other groomers in action not many but there are a few bad groomers , because there are no bad dogs!!  get someone reputable dont just drop them off at pet smart get to know the groomer i would say pop in unexpectatley at there establishment and just look around pop in again what ever it takes to make sure your baby is in the right hands i would ... and by all means bring your dog with you he will tell you look at his eyes and his actions dogs dont lie...

How long have you been grooming ?  before you owned your own salon who did you work for ?  may i call your last employer?  What exactly will my dog be doing while you have these 12 other dogs here?  who will be watching him.. And here is a really important question how do you dry the dogs here are they hand blown or is there a cage dryer attatched and does it have heat on it because you dont want your dog in a cage with a heat dryer on him because these people forget about him and then he is dead from overheating , i hand dry all my dogs..  can he have water ???most salons do not put water out for the dogs because there not here for that they dont think that dogs actually get thirsty..is this a cage free environment ?? I dont believe in cages not even for puppy training i think that is abusive..
