My name is Mike Threlkeld. I am a quality custom pool builder, with 49 years experience. I use only the best materials and most qualified craftsmen available in the industry. A second generation pool contractor, I've built thousands of pools, most of them in the Naples area.
As the winner of 3 international pool design awards, we have the talent to take your concept and turn your dream into a back yard paradise! We use the latest in 3D cad technology, which is quick and versatile, giving you many different perspectives and options.
I enjoy working with homeowners to watch their dreams come to life. It is a noisy, dusty process, but when the final touches are complete and everyone is having fun, I get a deep satisfaction for a well built product, and usually a friend for life.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Simply give me a call. For a new pool, we'll arrange a time that is convenient for you. At that time, we'll meet at your home to discuss your ideas, point out details and possible problems, take pictures and measurement, and get a copy of your survey, if possible. We'll follow up with a preliminary design concept. We'll revise it as much as necessary, to get exactly what you want. At that point, I give you a proposal for the entire project. No obligation. That simple.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My hands-on experience for almost 50 years has been the best training I could possibly have had. Any mistake that could be made, I've made it - once. I've been licensed as a pool contractor, in 3 states, since my college days. I've held a residential pool contractor's license in the state of Florida since 1999 and completed continuing education courses every year, during that time.
