I tailor training to your specific needs and concerns and will come up with a way to make this work best for you and your dog.
I am available for questions outside of our session so you feel supported throughout the learning process and will send a review of our session every time we meet so you do not feel overwhelmed. In addition, you will receive an email review of all we went over in each session.
I have been involved with shelter and rescue dogs, volunteered with the ASPCA and local shelters, and am passionate about keeping dogs out of shelters and happy with their people in their homes.
I have both CCPDT and ABC dog training certifications and am an avid reader of dog training studies and other trainers' philosophies so i can come up with solutions for diverse situations, people and dogs.
I love working with the dogs and their people and coming up with effective and creative (if needed) ways to address their specific issues.
And who does not love hanging out with dogs? 😃😃

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will ask you to fill out a short intake survey to give me some general background on you and your dog and we will have a phone conversation to learn more. At our initial session, we will work together to come up with solutions for your specific concerns and i will teach you how to communicate clearly with your dog so that you two can work together and understand one another.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have B.S. in Psychology which was a super foundation for dog training theory and very helpful as i went on to study for my dog training certifications: CCPDT and ABC.
Working at dog shelters and with the APSCA taught me a lot about how dogs intereact with one another, with humans, and how to help the dogs heal from past trauma.
