What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New Client/Pet Policy Release Form is necessary for all new clients so I am able to have information about yourself and your pet and gives me permission to groom your pet.
When I come to your home I will evaluate your pet and we can discuss what type of groom you are looking for. I am not a "show dog" groomer, but a pet groomer. I will make your dog look close as possible to its breed if that's what you are looking for. At that time we can address any concerns you may have about your pet. The first visit will just need a little bit more time, thereafter, if everything stays the same for your next groom the grooming experience will be quicker. I typically say give me up to 2 hours can be sooner (depending on your pet) to do the prep work (nails, ears, etc), brush out if necessary or your pet is matted, bath, dry, and finally the groom. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Received my pet grooming certification diploma with one of the top South Florida pet grooming schools with over 600 hours of training. Was privileged to be trained by well known National Certified Master Instructors in the pet grooming industry. Worked in local pet salons before establishing Tails of Enchantment House-Call Pet Grooming. I am certified in Pet CPR and Pet First Aid as well.

Currently grooming dogs 45 lbs & under
>Full Groom (includes prep work): $75.00
>Mini-Groom (includes prep work except body trim ): $65.00
>Bath/Brush Only (includes prep work): $55.00
Additional Services (separate costs):
>Excessive Deshedding & Dematting: $10 & more depending on time to perform this service.
>Teeth Brushing with Organic All-Natural Toothpaste (Includes toothbrush): $5
>Flea & Tick Shampoo: $10
>Pawdicures - Fast Drying Non-Toxic Dog Nail Polish (all four paws): $5

How did you get started in this business?
One of the final requirements in receiving my certified pet grooming diploma, I needed to choose a grooming option so I can complete my externship for school. I became interested in learning more about house-calls and how it can benefit both the dog and the client. I loved the concept and that was when I decided this was the service I wanted to offer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
When I read this question to me it means the pet because that is who I am providing for. Of course, I do have to interact and communicate with the pet owner and I've serviced stay-at-home moms, work at home folks, elderly, handicapped, or simply people that want the convenience of having their pets groomed while being in their homes. I do notice a difference in dogs when they are home they seem more relaxed.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The last event was a dog grooming show and had such a wonderful time. It's so lovely to see all the breeds when they are competing. They are all unique in their own ways and really appreciate all the different breeds you encounter that you normally will not see on a daily basis.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask alot of questions. Feel comfortable with the person that is grooming your pet.
