I design and find plutons that compliment and support the style of the home and the lifestyle of the family living there. I design for the individual client and find solutions that fit their budget. I am not concerned with my "signature".

I love the whole process when I redesign a space! From Meeting the client and listening to their needs, coming up with solutions, specifying product, right up to the actual construct and big reveal. It's all very exciting. Thirteen years in the business and so far,everyone is happy with the results!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to see the space in question and meet with clients before giving an estimate. I want to make sure we are a good fit for one another and the project fits the vision and budget. I often think of things clients don't realize come into play.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started out as a graphic designer and did that for about 15 years. I started helping friends and family with interiors and getting homes ready for sale by applying my knowledge of space relation, design and color theory. This morphed into a home staging business. Those staging clients often ask me to help them in their new homes. So, I guess you could say I was born this way!


Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I base every job on $65.00 per hour. I do not have a menu of set prices. Every project is customized and has its own hurdles to A cluent's ability to make decisions all comes into play. 


How did you get started in this business?

It all started with requests from family and friends. I took time off from graphic design to raise my children. Once they were in middle school, I started my Staging business.


What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with young adults to elderly needing organization solutions, families needing a refresh on spaces as their family grows, people wanting to do complete overhauls on kitchens and bathrooms and have helped many as they downsize and need to figure out  what they can bring into their new space and what to do with all that they can't bring with them.


Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Not too long ago I helped a woman bring life back into her home after the death of her husband. Her children were still in school and living at home. I knew I couldn't change their circumstances, but I could help bring light and life back to the spaces they spent so much time in. A great refresh and group effort. We even created a lovely family photo wall to help them celebrate their family as it was, but also to add to as they moved forward.


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Make sure you are being heard. That the designer/stager is taking your lifestyle into account and not just creating a pretty space. 
know that this is not HGTV. Some projects take longer than expected and the costs they quote on tv never include the design fee and often have special pricing from sponsors. Region is also a factor. Buying and sourcing in Texas is much less expensive than the North East.
