Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The cost of each home inspection is dependent on several factors: type of home, location, # bedrooms, # bathrooms, # total square footage, # age, # detachings structures to be inspected (ie garage/shed/guest & pool house), # HVAC systems/zones, # kitchens, $ sales price, and what, if any, ancillary services needed.
Depending on who you contact, you may find that we are on the mid to higher end of the price spectrum for local inspectors, but the service we provide goes beyond the standard and in turn is more beneficial to our clients. We bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the inspection. We like to give the example that recently a client hired David and another inspector to do his home inspection. Both inspectors did their inspections at the same time and the client followed each around separately. There was a $550 difference in our fees and the client was hesitant to hire David Goldberg but with David’s stellar reviews he decided to give us a chance. Afterwards, the client stated we were more thorough and we had found many items the other inspector did not, our report was more in-depth and David was able to offer direction and explanations for defects more than the other inspector, which saved him in repairs much more than the $550 inspection price difference. We have since inspected 2 other homes, alone, for this client in his quest to find the perfect home for his family and we have received several referrals to his family and colleagues.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I know my job and when a contractor says I'm wrong and I'm able to show him why I'm not, It shows my clients that they hired one of the best and they can now make a well informed decision to purchase the home or walk away. It's a win-win for my expertise and the clients knowledge of the home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
You should never forgo a home inspection. We truly believe in the value we are providing to homeowners. Our mission is to help families live in a safe, healthy, and comfortable home, and we believe our home inspections help complete this mission. We suggest you do not let cost be a factor in deciding whether or not to have a home inspection or in the selection of your home inspector. The sense of security and knowledge gained from an inspection is well worth the cost, and the lowest-priced inspection is not necessarily a bargain. Since all inspectors are not equal, you need to review the inspector’s qualifications, including experience, training, certifications and professional affiliations, what the inspector is providing you during and after the inspection, the type of report he is offering and review prior client's comments on-line as a guide. The more thorough we are, the more defects we find, the more money you save! Our inspectors do a thorough inspection of the home and the end result is that you save more money. A home inspection by a licensed, certified, experienced professional is well worth the time and cost. David Goldberg is the home inspector often referred to as being too picky and thorough by many real estate agents, however, these same agents call David for their personal or a family member's inspection. We are certain that we can help you accomplish your goals regarding the purchase of this property. We have your back!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
how long with the inspection take, what type of report will they receive (we offer a 20 pg computer written report), will the report include photos (our report includes color photos), how will they receive the report and when (we send our report via email within 24 hrs), should they follow along with the inspector or just let him do his thing (we like to make the inspection interactive to we want you to follow around with us), does the inspector offer anything extra (we offer free phone and email consults for as long as you own the home)
