How did you get started in this business?
I learned the trade from my father. When I left a major local HVAC & Refrigeration company 40 years ago, I started with residential customers and over the years now work for federal, state and many commercial customers today.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential, light commerial and the federal govenment.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We replaced a refrigeration system in a local bio-science company in the area.
We maintain multiple pieces of HVAC & R equipment for NIH and Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda MD.
We have had residential customers for over 40 years now!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get three estimates and compare. If you have questions after comparing, make sure you get complete answers you understand.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Can you afford to do what is needed or what is necessary to do a complete job? Costs should be considered over the life of the equipment. So, consider dividing the price by the number of years you expect the new equipment to last to see what it will really cost you every month.
