Judith Cohen Design
About
For more than 25 years I have designed homes and offices in Westchester, Connecticut and New York City. I also have served as project manager in construction projects and my work has been featured in a number of interior design publications. . Before starting my own firm, JUDITH COHEN DESIGN, I was assistant to several well known decorators. Prior to that I was assistant to the noted Surrealist painter Salvador Dali and sales manager for a major Manhattan art gallery.
To say that I am passionate about art, furniture and furnishings is an understatement. One of the best answers to my endless questions put to my first interior design mentor was, "what is the best?" I quickly learned that there was no such thing and the final goal in designing and decorating a room is to create atmosphere, blending classic style and flair alongside my clients.
Interior Design is defined by structure, dimension, shape and style. I see every room as a three dimensional reality balancing color in the same fashion as furniture arrangement, painted and wood finishes, glass and stone.
