I had to contact these guys last minute after some people bailed on me for my move. They came day, worked hard, seemed to care about taking care of my stuff and I didn't feel like this was some college side job. Hit these guys up if you want professionals helping you

I had to hire them last minute when I ended up hurting myself. They were actually reasonably priced and actually asked me questions about the move and showed me different options. I would highly recommend these guys if you want to not think about the stress of your move.

These guys are very experienced and easy to work with. They made the move seem very easy and everything made it in once piece without any damage. I will recommend them to my friends.

Joe and his crew made for a smooth moving experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend and hire them again next time I need to move.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First thing I do is establish availability because if you don't have that then everything else is a moot point.  Then we move on to getting a feel for the customers needs to establish crew size and materials that may be needed to make sure the job goes smoothly.  Then once all that is established we would get into pricing and then we would exchange information and deposit if applicable for the job.  The final step would be an information exchange generally via email and lastly put the job on our work schedule and arrive on site day of the move fully prepared and ready to provide quality service.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My experience spans over 20 years.  Between driving trucks, moving offices, appliances, homes, and pretty much everything there is to move within a home or office. I have members of my team that have similar experience, and the ones who did not have been trained by myself and my other team leaders to have just as much expertise as the more experienced veterans.  We are well experienced in taking apart most beds, hutches etc that are encountered in most moving scenarios.  If we haven't encountered it we pride ourselves on being able to figure it out although that rarely is needed.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

We have a standard range.

Labor only(no truck included) -

2-4 person crew = $75/hr - $150/hr.  We do larger crews also.

With Truck included -

2-4 person crew w/truck - 100/hr - 180/hr.

Larger crews and flat rates are also available.  Feel free to contact us 860-506-5638 if you'd like to ask any questions.

How did you get started in this business?

I had been in the moving industry for roughly 20 years.  I decided that i wanted to get out on my own and started my own business 5 years ago.  I took all my experience and training and here we are before you the experienced professionals that we are.

We look forward to working with you.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with everyone from colleget students in dorms to 4-6 bedroom homes, as well as apartments.  Local and long distance to loading and unloading only.  There is no job to big or to small for Heavy Lifting Movers.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

For me honesty on both sides is the key.  We can't give a proper price and give the best service possible without being able to see the job or get a really honest thorough accounting of the customers needs and the items to be moved and what the moving conditions are like I.E stairs, paintings that need protecting items that need blanketing etc.
