All of our groomers and bathers are passionate about animals. We all work in rescue and our entire lives revolve around humane animal welfare. This is not a job, it is an extension of what we are dedicated to in our lives. We love coming in every day and meeting wonderful pet owners and new dogs. We take our time to get to know the pet parent and pet. We address all the needs and offer solutions. How many people can say they love what they do? We are very fortunate to be able to say that, every single day.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We get to know the pet parent well. We ask many questions on feeding, routine, fears, likes, dislikes. We want to know the health history and any current issues. Many dogs are rescues and have baggage from being abused or neglected. We address these issues and work with the dog to make the groom one of love and tenderness and avoid the things that may trigger anxiety from it's past.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner of TLC has been in animal rescue for over 30 years. She has worked as a vet assistant, in shelters, and has fostered many, many animals. She is past president of a local humane society. She has been grooming for over 25 years and her groomers and bathers have many years experience.
How did you get started in this business?
I started grooming when working in a kill shelter. I saw many dogs that were a mess and people would walk right past them, meaning certain death. I not only established an extensive rescue network but also went to school at night to learn how to make these precious fur babies look gorgeous so they would get adopted. It worked! So many senior dogs and matted dogs were being adopted after being groomed when they would have been over looked previously! I was thrilled and knew that I found another way to save lives.
