Perfection With Affection K-9 Academy provides certified dog obedience training, puppy training, and behavior rehabilitation services. Our goal is to produce well-behaved companion dogs.
We train all dogs to be loyal and attentive, and we also provide you with counseling and problem-solving techniques. Rest assured, our trainers never use cruel or inhumane training practices.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Perfection With Affection K-9 Academy is committed to correcting your canine companion’s behavioral problems. We offer dog training programs in Connecticut and nearby areas that give you long-lasting results. Get in touch to register your dog in our program.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Thomas Hunt Sr. is a Certified Master Trainer and graduated from the U.S. K9 Academy some 30 years ago. He has studied the wolves at Wolf Haven International, in Tenino Washington, and studied animal behavior at Cornell University. He decided to make dog training his life's work after his own dog, "Eagle," saved the life of his son from the path of an oncoming truck. Eagle ultimately sacrificed his own life in the process, hence our name, "Eagle K9 Academy". Thomas Hunt Sr. retired in December 2017 and now acts a mentor at our facility.
Thomas Hunt Jr.
Thomas Hunt Jr. is a Certified Master Trainer and began training dogs at a young age. He is a graduate of the U.S. K9 Academy. Thomas Jr. also served four years in the United States Marine Corps.
