I do right by customers. I treat them like I would my own family. I am a perfectionist in my work. I have been tuning, repairing and rebuilding pianos since 1983. I have been a member of the Piano Technicians Guild for several years and stay up-to-date with current accepted practices in the industry. We had our baby grand piano tuned, after it had been moved from another house. It had not been tuned in many years and the move put it even further out of tune. Robert Knox was extremely responsive and came the very next day after I called him to inquire of his services! He did an excellent job. Appeared very knowledgeable and even gave us some helpful maintenance tips. He was very courteous and his price was very reasonable. We will definitely be using him again.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I generally like to find out a little bit about the piano so that I can service it the best way possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Michigan, and a Master's of Science in Music Degree from Western Connecticut University. I attended two school of piano technology and apprenticed with a master piano technician in the early '80s.
