Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first enjoy speaking on the phone, not just communicating via email or text. I do send an email that gives pet parents an idea of how the process works, so that expectations on both sides are clear in terms of types, dates, hours of services offered. Then, I typically would set up.s "meet n greet" visit. At this point for regular dog walking, pet care or overnight assignments I would get the house key and pick up vet info and client info sheets that the pet parent would fill out in advance. This visit could take anywhere from 30 - 90 minutes, depending on how many animals and if there are any special needs or services, or if a pet needs to have more time with a new caretaker. There is a $25 fee for the meet n greet visit, as long as is within 20 minutes travel time from my home in Brookfield.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a vet techician for 5 years. I have spent many years working with dog, cat and horse rescue groups, providing foster care, tranport and mecial care as needed. Certified though the Red Cross for Canine and feline CPR.
