We have been in Business for 38 years, I am a Native Coloradan, third generation Builder, Designer. We have built almost every type of structure imagineable. Througout the West, El Salvadore, Brasil ....

My passion is making Cliants, vision come to life, sitting down with a skratch pad and a cup of coffiee. listening to their ideas, interjecting my many years of design building experiance into the conversation. And in doing so coming up with a "Value Engineered Design" worthy of an intellegent discition, to go forward or to choose from a menue of alternitive options. Making the project doable. I have been lic. since 1979, in Colo. attended U.N.C. Business School, Completed AGC Sinior Management, Superintendant, Project Management training. Recieved Scolorsip to Frank Lloyd Wright's School of Architecture. Am currently Renovating a Mid Century Modern home in Normandy Estates. Worked extensivly in the Hill-Top Neighborhood. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Appointments, are crutial, formal or informal is fine. But an introduction time is first and fomost my indicator of wether we will be compatible. Defining the Scope of work, seeing wether the project is even feasable or not is crutial. As I've stated "Value Engineering" is always a great option. Creating a menue of optional methodes or materials, creating a good, better, best list of options. All of this allowes the cliant to choose what will work for them.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

38 Years, as a General Contractor, working in all phase's of construction. UNC Business, AGC............. Built, Custom Homes, Churches, School's, Appartments, Town Homes, Additions, Basements........

Historical Costing, is the only way to evaluate a ground up build. Then the Market factor has to be applied. Every job is different. After seeing the job, assesing the scope of work, choosing the methodes and materials. Only then can a firm bid be given.


How did you get started in this business?

I am a third generation Builder, My Grandfather, Eric Manring, Was an Engineer, My Father Thomas Weathers an Architect, Builder. So literally you could say I've been doing this my entire life.


What types of customers have you worked with?

FAA, B. of Indian Affairs DIA, Jefferson Co. School District,CSU, Fort Carson, New Homes from Starter Homes to Custom. Snowmass Village, Teheluride, every type of home remodel, Churches, Oil Field. Industrial. 


Describe a recent project you are fond of.

Building Teachers Housing on the Ft. Berthold Res. in Mandaree ND. A design build project. Several Mid Century Modern homes of late. The renovation of a1896 Bank Building.


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

There are a very few (wink, wink) builders with extensive local building experiance. Buyer be ware!


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Count the costs, is number 1, 2 is be prepared for your known world to be upside down for a while.
