Guenevere Pet Sitter
About
I am a petsitter and I enjoy being around cats and dogs, I'm able to look after both as well as watch over rabbits. I've taken care of cats and I own two dogs, one toy dog and one large dog. I volunteer at a rabbit shelter and I'm knowledgable about what I should and shouldn't do with a rabbit. I'm also willing to clean up after pets and I can take responibility for what happens. We can discuss my availability when hiring for a job.
I enjoy looking out for animals and learning more about how to become better friends with pets. Through personal experience I've learned when to engage with animals and how I should proceed in taking care of animals.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Within my family, my Great-Grandma cares for stray cats that wonder around farm property. I've learned from her how much care a cat requires, how important it is to keep a watchful eye on cats and how to gauge how capable I am of taking care of the cat or not. I'm also a volunteer at a rabbit sanctuary, I'm more than capable of cleaning and watching after a rabbit and enjoy the job. I've been a volunteer for more than half a year now and I'm still currently a volunteer at the Colorado House Rabbit Society.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I'm ok with a pay that averages $15-$20 an hour, depending on animal size or situation the price can fluctuate.
How did you get started in this business?
I've always looked after pets and strays and but it wasn't until I started volunteering that I started to realize that I can offer my services to others.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I became quiet fond of one of the stray cats my Great Grandma takes care of and she has become fond of me. The cat followed me all around the farm and protected me from my cousin who is still a toddler.
At the rabbit society I was petting one of the rabbits, Johnny, and stopped to clean out the cage next to Johnny. It was my mistake for standing to close but Johnny splashed me with water from his what dish. The moment I looked back at him Johnny hopped over and stared. I didn't realize that he wanted more attention until he splashed me again.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The questions I recommend to consider when hiring someone to look after your pet would be...
Does my pet have a medical condition? If so, can I bring in someone experienced with dealing with this time of condition or am I able to put in the time of teaching someone how to care for my pet specifically?
Is my pet comfortable with this person? Although I recommend waiting a week before determining the answer to this question as consistency is important for an animal to become comfortable with a person.
