About this pro

I have 20 years experience working in high-end residential interior design projects all around the world. I bring to the table a good sense of creating an interior space that exceeds my client's expectations. I started my career as a showroom manager for a 30K sq. ft showroom and have worked on the wholesale and retail side, emerging into my own 5K sq. ft. showroom and my own interior design firm for over 15 years. I create luxury interiors with a flair for the sublime... Am an affiliate member of the A.S.I.D.

I have worked in FL, AZ, CA, MI, OH, NC, KS, CO and internationally in Paris, Fr. and Dubai. I have over 300 wholesale resources to meet your interior design needs.

I love creating an interior space for my client's that is a reflection of their personal lifestyle in luxury living. It is about the colors, accessories, and the furniture that not only allows them to feel comfortable in their home but allows them to showcase their personality through quality interior design.

Excellent knowledge and very professional in the design industry. Personable and good communicator with project design and follow through. We love our new 3200 sq. ft. home. It is truly a showplace for our family and friends.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I begin to develop a business and personal relationship with my new clients by going to their home and discussing their design needs and walking the spaces they want to work on whether it be space planning or a complete interior re-design from drywall in. Once we have an agreement and  I have developed a "feel" for creating their new interior space and interior design needs; I go to work creating a personal design book of items that I would suggest for their interior space, including furniture specs., fabric samples, sketches, and computer diagrams of what the final products and installation would look like. We then work together to finalize our design plan and ensure that the customer will be happy with the final result.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a MS in Psychology, which helps me work with all kinds of clients within unique cultures and with the desires for distinctive taste for luxury living. I have many decades of experience in the retail, wholesale, and business ownership in the selling, creating, and custom designing of fine furniture and draperies for residential interior design.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I have an initial free consultation whether it be via electronic submissions from my clients or an hour of free in-home consultation to begin the design process. I feel like they should interview me as much as I should interview them to see if we can develop a business and personal relationship to meet their interior and lifestyle luxury living needs.

How did you get started in this business?

I started in the business from my Grandmother, who liked to decorate and entertain in her homes at about the age of 12. I would assist her in designing tablescapes for parties and decorating the home for the holidays and special events.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with all kinds of customers from many cultures and many different professions from around the world. I prefer to work with clients that understand the quality differences in fine furniture and luxury living lifestyles within realistic budgets.

Describe a recent project you are fond of.

Recently on my website, I took on a 3.2M home that I furnished from start to finish. It took about a year to do as it as a new blank canvas and we created a color scheme in this high-end Tuscan home that seems to have transcended into a timeless design that still looks fresh and new today.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

I think there are a lot of "designers" out there who think they know how to design an interior space for someone. Mostly I have seen that with some real flaws in mostly the scale and the basic principles of interior design space planning. I have also seen some major no-no's with color contrasting and mixing of furniture styles that do not blend well with one another. I tend to be an old world style designer but with an application of incorporating some of the old design pieces to meet today's transitional lifestyles. You can successfully combine the old and new if you know what you are doing in design.

An old world famous interior designer once told me that in this field, " You either have it or you don't," and she said to me, " You got it, kid."

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What their interior design goals are in their new space? It can be quite overwhelming, we can do one room at a time or a whole house. A realistic budget that they are planning on spending to design what it is they truly want to develop for their luxury living space and the quality level that they feel comfortable with in their furnishings.
