Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide a free estimate with new clients so we can help figure out what solutions fit your needs. After that we would create a schedule for walking or sitting. For dog training we would begin to build a custom curriculum based off of your individual goals for your dog. All slots are first come, first serve. We accept payment via cash, check, or PayPal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have over 8 years experience working with a variety of different animals. This includes experience with dogs, cats, small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc), reptiles (lizards, snakes, turtles, etc), birds (both small and large breed) and various forms of livestock. Our head of operations also has various certifications for dog training and canine nutritional specialization.
How did you get started in this business?
Fuzz Ball Pet Care started in New York City in 2012 offering dog walking and pet sitting. Eventually we would expand to offer dog training as well. The company relocated to Denver Colorado in 2018.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Dog Walking: How active is my dog? Do they prefer the company of other dogs or do they prefer to roll solo? Do they pull hard on the leash?
Dog Training: What are my specific goals for my dog? What behaviors do they need to work on? How are their safety cues? (Can they come back immediatly? Will they leave food if you drop it while cooking?)
Pet Sitting: How long do will we be gone for? Do any of the pets have special dietiary needs? Do any of the pets require daily medication? Do any of the pets have seperation anxiety or other behavioral issues?
