What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step is meeting dog and preferably all those than interact with dog regularly at the residence. I perform an unrushed assessment of the dog, environment and humans to determine feasibility of working together and then present a proposed course of action if applicable.
Every dog and owner(s) will have their own path and pace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Trained my 1st dog at 16 and was hooked. As it happened, I was fortunate to work with many challenged dogs early on resulting in extensive patience, compassion, observation and finding individual paths for owners and tge digs. I’ve worked with plenty of mentors, continue to absorb research and communicate with trainers across the globe.
My way is to deploy the most suitable methods for each dog addressed as an individual despite breed age etc. Fit the methods to each dog for best results particularly under real life stresses that are unavoidable aspects of a dogs life. I’m all about a safe home and a safe dog making for happy dog and happy home This happens only with a trained dog and owners that understand how to communicate with their dogs and do so effectively.
They depend on us to care for them. That begins with learning how to communicate with your dog and train them to control their impulses.
