Trained at UC Berkeley in Interior Architecture, Gabriela has been providing design consultation for both residential and commercial clients for over fifteen years. As a licensed Contractor she is very knowledgeable of the construction and remodeling process, the people and the products involved. She has traveled extensively and lived abroad many years, which has enriched her palate and taste for colors and unique elements. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Italian, which has been instrumental in participating in different exclusive international commercial and residential projects. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer a phone interview in preparation for a complimentary initial interview. During this interview, we learn as much as possible about our client, their vision for the space, answer any questions clients may have. We also gain a good insight about the extent of the project and provide a client with an estimate for the recommended services we can provide. If client is in agreement, we start the design process!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have aver 17 years of direct experience as an interior architect/interior designer. I have graduate level training at UC Berkeley in Ca. I am a Licensed Contractor and an Allied member of the Interior Designers Association. My experience is both in Commercial and Residential settings in the United States and Europe. I have the privilege to have excellent recommendations, available upon request.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We customize our design services to each client, but typically a color consultation lasts for approximately an hour in which we help you find the most beautiful colors for your project, make a report for your painter and specify accent colors and finishes. Feel free to give us a call for a complimentary consultation in which we will be able to accurately estiamte the time needed for your project
How did you get started in this business?
My mother and grandmother were both interior designers. I loved visiting my grandmother who had a different configuration in her house every time and frehc flowers!. I share the passion for gorgeous attainable interiors they had.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have had the privilege of having a wide array of clients both nationally and overseas. From very small one room projects and newly weds, to large new construction and very large commercial projects ranging from spas, kitchens, bathrooms (that are my passion) and whole houses and restaurants, performing Arts centers and schools and hospitals. All unique and memorable.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I worked with a client who did not like her house. It had been rented for several years prior to her occupying the same. After we had the pleasure of working with her, she is a different person. We edited her furniture, added special pieaces. She entertains, loves using her gorgeous bathroom everyday and just really loves everything in her house, from the custom wall colors, to the light fixtures curated from around the world, to murals and gorgeous window treatments and spaces as unique and elegant as she is. Her house is a beautiful jewel box!
