I enjoy electrical because it give me an opportunity to control and make something I can't see, into something I can. The smile on someone's face when they see what I have completed for them. It's an amazing site. It's my favorite part of every job.

I did my apprenticeship with the local Union here in Colorado, CEC vo tec for two years with a focus on general contracting.

How did you get started in this business?

I’ve always been fascinated with electricity as a child and started taking extra classes learning about being an electrician.

All kinds from commercial to residential

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I volunteered to upgrade a woman’s old panel that was very dangerous and out dated, she was very excited because she could finally have a dryer rather than hanging her clothes on a clothes line like she’s done for the last 45 years. To make her smile and be that happy was worth every second of my time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Make sure they are upfront and honest about pricing. Bigger companies tend to depersonalize business and charge as much as they can get away with. You want to read reviews and definitely look at some of the smaller companies. Make sure they are fair, honest, professional and dependable.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Is the service you are getting fixed something that is actually needed, not a small, easily fixed problem such as a flipped breaker. A lot of companies will use that to their advantage to make as much money off of you as they can. What exactly are you wanting done and in what time frame? What is your budget at for the service you are wanting? What is the problem or at least an idea of what the problem is. Be educated about your issue so you do not get overcharged for something you do not need.
