Lisa Seifert Doggie Grooming
About
I've been working with dogs for a little over 3 years now, on top of the family dogs growing up. I've always had a special place in my heart for dogs of all kinds. I never imagined being able to work with and help dogs in the way that I do. Fun fact about me is that I've always been an art kid growing up always using my creative talent with everything that I do. I thought it'd be perfect to put my creativity with my love for dogs. I worked at PetSmart from August of 2014 to July of 2016 first as a bather and was put through their 4 week academy training to become a certified groomer. Then I worked at Petco from September 2016 to February 2017 where I was also certified as a dog groomer. After that I worked In a privately owned business called Dog E. Fresh where I groomed by myself. Currently I work as a dog sitter/walker, and groom for anyone who needs or wants it done for a very reasonable price. And I come to you! I've never had an incident of injuring a dog while I've been grooming. I have experience with all breeds and very knowledgeable about their hygiene needs.
I enjoy everything about dog grooming! Its a fun relaxing hobbie that i was lucky enbough to learn. i love working with dogs, being able to interact with them and help them in anyway i can possible. seeing a dogs attitude change entirely from when they first meet me to when they see their owners again is the best part. Seeing the happiness and the way dogs will "strut their stuff" is the best feeling ever knowing that i was able to do that for them and their owners.

i was a bather at PetSmart for almost a year, all the managers encouraged me to become a groomer because the way i work with dogs and customers.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Ive worked with all types of customers, angry, fustrated, happy, male, female, deaf, elderly, teenagers, even kids. in my eyes i always want to do what the pet parent wants but i always have the dogs well being in mind first!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone who cares about your dog as if it were their own! this reassures the safety of your pet being as the groomer wouldnt be too rough or mean. Bad dogs get bad haircuts....but dogs are not usually bad without reason! it all starts with the attitude and vibe that the groomer has.
