See Spot Stay
About
Our main goal is the safety of your pet. We have been working with dogs professionally for over 17 years and have always prided ourselves with building a relationship with our customers and being extreemely cautions on keeping your pet out of harms way. We walk dogs on a safety back up, we transport dogs in crate, dog harness/seat belts or dog car seats. We do not walk multiple dogs at once and provide individual attention to you and your pets needs.
We have worked with almost every breed and temperament, and are here to give you peace of mind that your pet will be safe, well taken care of and loved while in our care.
Training is done with positive reinforcement and I have continued my training through out the years by attending seminars and on line courses. My master trainer trained seeing eye dogs for the blind and we do not believe in the use of prong or shock collars. Training is about building a relationship with your dog, this is done so by mutuial respece and not fear or domination.

How did you get started in this business?
I have always trained my personal dogs from gradeschool up. Teaching tricks and obedience and off leash training. I started volunteering with dog rescues in Los Angeles and worked with rescue dogs for years before training professionally with a master trainer when I decided to make my passion my profession. I then started a non profit that helps place dogs into adoptive homes and have had a multitude of unique and challenging dogs cross my path via rescue and clients dogs.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of our dog walking clients are from referrals and work 8+ hours a day and we provide dog walking services for their dogs to get out during the day for a potty break. Some of our clients work from home and just want their dogs to get out and get some exercise.
For dog training, my clients range from first time dog owners to those that have had pets all their lives. From new puppies to senior dogs, who need help with potty training, chewing, basic and advanced obedience, leash skills and in home manners to behavior modification.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
When not training dogs and creating a bond with them that helps them build their confidence, I enjoy helping connect people that have lost a dog with or have had a dog lost by someone that was in charge of caring for their pet in their search. I run a non profit charity and receive all the lost dog fliers when a person posts them with a certain company. When I have time, I contact them and give them advise on who to contact immediately to help them, it's critical to do things correctly right away. It's so rewarding to see the dog found safely and to help their owners through an extremely stressful time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When hiring a professional, make sure they really are a professional that has experience with multiple types of dogs. There are so many people in this industry that are just trying to make extra money or walking dogs until they find a "real" job. In my opinion, this is one of the MOST important jobs out there. We are in charge of a living being, animals are unpredictable and rely on people for their safety. We are going into clients homes and are responsible for the safety of their pets, nothing is more important than hiring someone that is safety conscious and trustworthy for such a position.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask them how long they have been doing this for a profession. Ask them how many pets have gotten lost or injured under their care. What I've seen happening in the recent years is that people with no experience are being hired to care for peoples pets and they are getting lost and injured at an alarming rate. I spend much of my free time helping find lost dogs that were lost by other pet sitters/walkers. There are now apps where you can get a dog walker in minutes to your home, these apps were created by companies with investors wanting a return on their investment. The vetting of independent contractors and their safety procedures are basically useless (I went on their sites and answered their questionnaires to be allowed to advertise my services on their sites just to see what is required). Their instructions for when a pet is lost is completely incorrect on what they should be doing immediately.
Trust your gut. Just because someone works for a company doesn't mean they know what they are doing or are trustworthy.
