We are a mom and pop shop, and handle the animals with loving kind hands. They are only in my shop for a few hours, not all day.

I starting working here in 2001, and fell in love with grooming, and bought the shop in 2004.

I'm an animal lover, and that's the reason. I don't do it to become a Rockefeller!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I let them know what’s included in the price, which every aspect of grooming ie sanitary shave, nail trim, ears cleaned, glands expressed, teeth brushed, bath and a haircut. If no haircut is needed, I will tidy up the face, legs and feet.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was hired as a bather in 2001, and bought the shop three years later. During the 3 years, the woman who owned the shop taught me the basics, and over the years I've come into my own with my own way!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I have standard and competitive (or lower) price than groomers in my area. I also do cats. I will do different services separately if you don’t need a full on groom.

How did you get started in this business?

I love animals and saw an ad for a bather, and that’s how it started!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Anyone. I’m easy to get along with and am there for the animals. I can make suggestions if asked.

Every animal I do I’m fond of.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

That they make sure to ask what’s included. I see many shops advertise a low price, but there’s a lot that doesn’t come with that are necessary.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Ask what is included in the price. Besides a haircut, nails, clean ears and anal glands need to be done, and unless you specifically ask for it, you may not get it, and it could be an additional cost. Those three things are included in any price I quote you.
