What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first visit is a complimentary in home consulation. During our initial visit, I tour the home, ask lots of questions to see what the client's goals and objectives are and put together a plan for their style, budget and time frame.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing interior design for over 20 years. I have worked for home builders, helping them with their models, I worked for a top window treatment company designing custom treatments for 7 years and have been the principal designer of Sherry Anne Interiors for 12 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do all types of interior residential design as well as light commerical. I have designed/decorated a large real estate office, a nail salon, a software company and several docto's offices.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
I really enjoy whole house projects where I start in one or two rooms and we work our way through the entire home. Many of my clients, I have worked with for over a year as we complete their home room by room. I recently did a Paris themed home theater. We did a gray scale look with a pop of red. It was a great project and both myself and my clients were thrilled with the results. We even had a "phone booth" created to house all of the media equipment.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I offer complimentary initial consultations because not only do I want to make sure that I am a good fit for the project and the client, but I want my clients to have the opportunity to interview me as well and make sure they would be comfortable working with me. It can be a long term relationship and you want to make sure you are comfortable with the designer.
