What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Blue Print General Steps
Step 1
A contract needs to be signed and first payment needs to be paid up front as per contract. We come out and measure your home and draw up in CAD form.
Step 2
Survey maye be required
Step 3
We will draw up three to four examples for your custom home floor plans per what you would like.
Step 4
We meet up discus what you like what you didn’t like. Cut and Paste and come up with a second round of floor plans.
Step 5
We meet up discus what you like what you didn’t like. Cut and Paste and come up with the final round of floor plans.
Step 6
Final floor plan designed and agreed upon to move to next step.
Extra
If there are any more floor plans examples needed we will come to an agreement for additional services.
Step 7
A couple elevation examples will be designed for your review.
Step 8
We meet up discus what you like what you didn’t like. And work on finalizing the elevations.
Step 9
Then Final elevations drawn up
Step 10
We may need soils engineering complete for structural to start.
Step 11
Structural engineer will get involved at this time. They will write up a separate contract.
Step 12
I work on the construction documents necessary to submit to planning department. We will also work on electrical plans at this time and provide you with an example. Once electrical is finished we move to the next step.
Step 13
Plans get sent to title 24 for energy calculations and for Green points if required. Seperate Contracts
BUILDING SUBMITTAL
City will come back with comments and we will discuss them with you and make the required recommendations and proceed to resubmittal.
BUILDING RE-SUBMITTAL
NOTE:
Should there be any additional information required, and or comments needed to be added, we will revise the plans for a re submittals at no additional cost (Meaning that the whole scope of work does not change, and it is in regards to the work that we submitted).
Any change in the design after the plans/ designs have been approved by the building department shall constitute a new contract or amendment to the current contract.
