I truly love working with people especially in design. I want you to love your space, and I will strive hard to accomplish that. You only live once, might as well love where you live!
Also, I have a flexible schedule and can typically meet at any time of day, even on weekends!
I have a passion for interior design. What I really enjoy about the work I do, is making people happy. There’s no better feeling then having happy clients love the designs you do for them, based on what they asked for. I have had people can me years later because they have another house or project that they want me to work on. It truly warms my heart to make people love the place they live in. I really try to understand them and design there place just for them. Once project I worked on had two separate master bathrooms and a round hall between them. My clients (who were not married at that time), selected different tiles for their bathrooms. I designed the round hallway with a cool design incorporating the tiles from both of their bathrooms. It was a beautiful smooth transition and union of their tiles. Going into either bathroom, you can see the correlation, the marriage of the tile design. Months later, he proposed to her in that very hallway. Heartfelt memories like this make me genuinely love what I do.
Nanette had a ton of great ideas that took my home design to another level. She was super easy to work with, which made my home remodel experience great. Things that I over looked, she noticed and brought to my attention which I am very grateful for. I would most definitely work with Nanette again.
I usually have a free 20 minute consult over the phone to speak with client about their plans for their home. From there we speak about the scope of the project, budget range, style preferences, project timeline. Many times client need some assistance and give them some ideas on how they can prepare for for our next step. The next step is to schedule and in-home consultation. I come to your home, discuss at length plans, I give advice about floor plans, color pallettes, discuss the budgets, and review style preferences.
I studied Interior Design at Virginia Tech University and have over 16 years of experience.
I was studying Pre-Dentistry in college and I kept designing my dental office in my Biochemistry classes. I told my parents I wanted to switch majors and they told me if I follow my passion, I’ll be great at anything I do, and I have no regrets on the path I’ve taken in life.
I have worked with many different people, from homeowners, to developers, and even some celebrity homes!
Hire someone that you connect with and really understands your wants and needs, someone who really gets you. Having that connection with them will make you comfortable and trust their expertise throughout the whole process.
How much do you want to spend on this project. It’s best to set a budget so the pros know what they are working with.
