About
A second career later in life lead me to a degree in Architecture with an emphasis in Interior Design. Upon graduating he took a position at the award-winning firm of Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates in San Francisco. While at ODADA, I was a Senior Designer and an Interiors Studio Manager. With almost 20 years of experience, I specialize in high-end residential and commercial work with a focus on custom furniture, carpets and fabric designs. The fine details are key to the integration of architecture within a given interior. He has a sharp eye for color and the innate ability to mix textures and materials within a given room or a single piece of furniture.
My preference is to work closely with an Architect from the beginning of the design process for complete integration. This allows me to flush out the details that impact furniture and lighting layouts and the various meeting and transitions of materials. Decisions that in the end, make dramatic differences in the way in an interior is experienced.
I am also a Senior Adjunct Professor that the California College of the Arts in San Francisco teaching interior design studio courses at all levels.
Over the years, I have gathered a wide and varied group of vendors, artists and resources that I collaborate with enabling me to bring my design visions into reality. I love designing custom furniture pieces and area rugs.
