After 30 plus years in construction I decided to share my knowledge and experiance with a new gorup of people. THese are the home buyers and sellers. This is a stressful time anyway. Any one that is buying, selling or just wants the house to get a once over to help keep it running at it best!
Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods and -- yes -- different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work -- a lot of work. Ultimately, a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort. If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your soon to be new home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort. This I promise you.
If you are the seller; Have an idea of things worked on and items your not sure about. Include things used every day ie. bathrooms, kitchen.
If they are the buyers; Make sure to get all major systems checked. Talke to seller about recent repairs. Age of the home and how long have they been living there.
For both sides getting the house inspected can really reduce the chances of unpleasant surprises later! Do not forget about the little uninvited guest! (bugs)
