Caitlin is so focused on making sure not only I was happy but that my dog wasn’t stressed out. She took her time and he looked amazing. The fact that he gets excited to go instead of being terrified is worth more than I could ever put into words. The love and patience she has is such a rare thing to find in a groomer. Most just want to slam their dogs in and slam them out with no care for the mental and emotional state it causes the dog. I will NEVER take my dog to anyone else. Period. We absolutely love Caitlin, I recommend her to everyone.

She takes her time grooming and it shows in her work.

She’s so loving and gentle with our pups. You can really tell that she loves animals! She keeps our pups looking and feeling great. One of our doodles even jumps into the bath now without hesitation. So I know she’s making him super comfortable. And she always does a great job!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When you bring your pup to their private spa day appointment, make sure to have any vaccination records available. I'll meet your furry best friend and help them become acclimated to the salon while I have you fill out a short form. During the appointment it's best if pet parents go about their day, as pups tend to focus on their mom & dad more than their grooming; if they can see, hear or even smell them in the vicinity. Appointments take at least 3 hours because I will never rush through the process. I want it to be a calming and refreshing time for the dogs in my care.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

A lifetime of experience with dogs sets me apart. Starting in the animal professional field as a kennel technician was a great step in. I'm being trained by the owner of the salon I work in and she's a great teacher.

How did you get started in this business?

Being a client, the groomer recognized my mind and heart was set on working with animals, she invited me to join the team. It's one of the best things that's ever happened to me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All of my clients are WONDERFUL.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

The best way to know a dog groomer is knowledgeable is to ask them how they feel about "shaving your double coated dog". A double coated dog should never be shave (aside from medical reasons).

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

The length they want their dog's fur, if your dog have skin issues or allergies. Think about their temperament with new people. Does your dog shed? How are their nails?
