Not only was Deborah knowledgeable about the area, she was so informative during the entire process! I was out of town the majority of the transaction and she handled it with efficiency and care. I have recommended Deborah to other friends and family members and will continue to do so! 5-Stars

    Frequently asked questions

I prefer sitting down with new clients to set expectations and learn about their goals.  I like to explain the process, whether it's buying, selling, relocating, etc.  It makes the overall transaction flow more smoothly.  Plus, they get to meet me without the pressure of having to list a home or tour one.

I majored in Communications in college and also worked for Weight Watchers speaking before many people.  I learned and acquired great listening and communication skills in that job and through years of training.  Additionally, my husband and I owned a business for 14 years.  That is the best way to learn about customer service!

I do practice a standard 2.5% listing fee but there can be some negotiations or extenuating circumstances that affect that.  For the value I provide my clients, I think it's a great deal.  I provide top notch tools and marketing services.  I am a believer in "you get what you pay for"!

My father was a real estate attorney and I was exposed to it at a young age.  I also sold two of my homes and got the bug.  As my children got older and I had more time - I decided to venture away from our business and explore my interests in real estate.  There's been no looking back!

I've working with all types of customers!  First time home-buyers, move-up homebuyers and sellers, relocations, short sales, VA, and divorce situations.  No matter what, each transaction is difference and unique because of the clients.  That is my favorite part!

I had some out of town clients I worked with and never met.  They were in Southern California and I was in Northern California.  On the day their home closed and recorded, I happened to be down south visiting my daughter.  I looked up their address to see if they were nearby.  They were!  I ran to the florist and ordered a lovely bouquet and picked up a cake.  I knocked and the door and said "Don't you think you deserve flowers when you purchase a home?"  They shrieked and hugged me - it was the BEST!  Now I'm selling their home and they are some of my favorite clients.  They are the best!

Make sure they are a full-time Realtor who really wants to work.  Despite what some people think, there is a lot of legal information to know and you want to be sure your agent has a full and complete understanding of what's at stake!  They are there to fight for you and protect your rights.  We have a ficuiary duty to do so - but the variance at which we all abide or even care about that is sadly not always the same.  It really is a big deal who represents you and your real estate interests.

I would advise them to really consider not just what the lender told them they qualify for, but what their real budget it.  Buying a home is more than a house payment.  Same goes for the listing side - there are many facets.  Do they need a rentback?  How quickly do they need to move forward?  What assistance do they need from the agent?

Many agents offer many services - and some are just chasing the transaction.  I'm chasing the relationship.  There's difference.
