I love working with clients and listening to hear the vision of what it is that they would like for their homes or offices. As I begin to understand them, and their desires more, the clear vision of their finished product forms in my head, as though the project has been completed. It is such a joy to take them down that same path with our decisions so they can ultimately see the same completed design that I know will enrich their lives both functionally and emotionally every single day.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Interested customers can come to our office for a free in office consultation, or I can go to them for a paid consultation for 1-1/2 to two hours. During that time we can discuss any questions they have about their potential design, I can assist to help them develop a budget, or I can give them specific detailed advice on their project. Should they decide to hire Design Focus, the charge for this first consultation will be credited to the overall design fee charged for the job.
We also do paid blocks of time for " do it yourself' clients to assist them to be more successful with their projects.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My original education was as a registered nurse, believe it or not! When my children went to school, I did as well, to follow my love of interior design, which I had dabbled in as a hobby since my marriage. I have an 3 year AA from a very good interior design school, and I keep extremely current in the design field at all times. My staff all have at least associate degrees in interior design, as well.
I find that my education and experience in nursing is helpful in triaging jobs, working with sub contractors, dealing with the psychology of personnell and vendors, and planning, as my left and right brain are both equally developed.
