Little Doves Petsitting
About
My entire life I have had a passion for animals. I have never spent a day in my life without owning a dog. I started showing other peoples' dogs in Conformation at the age of 10; winning many blue ribbons. Shortly thereafter, I was asked to handle multiple dogs in the sport of Rally-O.
I have been hired regularly to take care of friends' cats and dogs. I always go above and beyond; I will clean spills and stains that were there prior to my arrival, and my motto is "to leave the house cleaner than when I found it."
I worked at Helen Woodward Animal Shelter in adoptions for 6 months before transferring to Club Pet where I worked for the next three years. I have walked and cared for over 100 different dog breeds ranging from 3 lbs, to 180 lbs.
Whatever you need, I can provide for you; whether its a dog walk once a day, housesitting, or just some help getting those pesky mats out of your dog's fur.
I can travel to your house or Facetime to discuss details. I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, fish, birds, and multiple small animals. I will treat your pets with as much love and respect as if they were my own.
Thank you for considering Little Doves Petsitting and I look forward to meeting your furry family members!
-Elise Mountain
I love animals and I have studied them for years through reading books, hands-on training, through classes at a collegiate level, and my own ownership of them.
I love seeing their individual personalities and what makes each animal special. I treat every animal as I would my own.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Through working at the animal shelter, I have recieved animal handling instruction from professional handlers and trainers. I have recieved training from professional dog sport handlers as well.
In school, I took classes on horse care and horseback riding and was supervised closely by educated and licensed horse handlers.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been around dogs and other animals since the day I was born. I started caring for other peoples' pets by request when I was around 12 years old. At 15, I loved it so much that I started working at the animal shelter.
Six months later, I started working at Club Pet (the boarding facility at HWAC). I am used to fulfilling special requests per pet and I have experience with puppies, seniors, and even special needs animals.
I myself have owned and taken care of dogs, cats, fish, birds, small animals, chickens, and horses.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Some advice I would give a potential customer who is looking for an animal caregiver, is to pick someone who has lots of experience, but who (in the instance of pet or housesitting) is also responsible enough to take care of issues around the house (such as vacuuming, taking out the trash...) that are not necessarily a job responsibility.
Doing these very things is a part of my daily policy for taking care of others' pets and houses. You can count on a clean house and a happy pet to come home to if you hire me.
