About

I have been a residential interior designer for the past ten+ years and prior to that I was a textile designer, designing fabric for the home furnishings and apparel industries.

I offer both full service design and e-design, as well as, special event and holiday design services. I am an ASID (American Society of Interior Design) designer with the Pasadena Chapter.

No project is too big or too small.

Visit my website at www.decorrevolution.com to view my on-line portfolio and read more about my design process.

I love working with color, pattern, finishes, fabrics, tiles and other materials to put a room together and make everything work so that it sings! I always strive to listen to my clients wishes and dreams about their project and try to incorporate that into what will function best for them to give them a space that they will be proud to show off to their family and friends when the project is completed.

    Frequently asked questions

I describe my process in detail on my website.  Please visit decorrevolution.com to read all about it.

I have a batchelors degree in Design and lots of extra classes in CAD, Kitchen and Bath, California Codes and Regulations and Interior Design.  As an ASID member I am constantly required to take courses to keep up with industry standards.

I charge both by the hour and flat fee.  It depends on the project and I discuss this with the client at the time I am hired.

I worked as a textile designer for 20 years and then transitioned into interior design when the textile industry went overseas and changed dramatically in the early 2000's.  I love interior design and I think that my background in textiles (painting prints for the home furnishings and apparel industries) has given me a great advantage in that I have a keen eye for color and pattern.  This carries over to selecting fabrics, tiles, rugs and furniture for my clients.

I mostly work in residential design.

Last year I helped decorate a shelter in the San Fernando Valley for Christmas.  This was so much fun and I know that it really gave the families and especially the children that stay there a great deal of joy.  I was happy to contribute my time and some decorations to the event.

To do a litlle bit of homework first and know what you want before you start interviewing designers.  Have some inspiration images to show them, of what you like.  Spend a little time working out a rough budget, so you know approximately what you can afford to spend on your project.  And educate yourself on what things really cost.  You don't necessarily have to spend top dollar, but you need to be realistic too. Too many people on this site with unrealistic budgets. And think about what kind of deadline you have in mind for your project.

Same as above.  Budget, deadline, scope of project, contractor relationship, project management process.
